How Edge works
Edge watches every new pump.fun coin that stalls just short of the bond, and spends $EDGE fees finishing the ones that sit at the line.
What counts as edging
- Under an hour old. Coins that sit for hours are bundles, not edgers.
- Past $30k market cap (about 94% of the curve) and stalling, not bonded yet.
- 2+ SOL in trading fees paid, so washed fake charts stay off.
- The timer starts the first time the board sees it past $30k. Under that, or off pump.fun’s board, for over 10 minutes ends the run.
The finish loop
- 1Fees fill the pot
Every $EDGE trade pays creator fees. They land in the finish wallet.
- 2A coin stalls at $38k
It sits there (98.8% of the curve) for over 10 seconds without bonding. The board has timed it since it passed $30k.
- 3We buy the rest
One buy of at most 4 SOL takes every token left on its curve. It bonds on the spot.
- 4We sell straight back
Right after the bond we sell into the new pool. The SOL comes back to the pot, minus fees and the price hit, and goes to the next coin.
Why the last stretch costs the most
pump.fun’s % counts tokens sold, not market cap. Every buy adds SOL and takes tokens out, so the price climbs faster the emptier the curve gets. A coin at 90% is only around $25k. The last 10% takes it the rest of the way to $41k.
| Curve | Market cap | SOL to finish |
|---|---|---|
| 80% | $16.8k | 42.1 SOL |
| 90% | $25.0k | 25.7 SOL |
| 94%Edging starts | $30.1k | 16.9 SOL |
| 97% | $35.0k | 9.1 SOL |
| 98.8%The finish line | $38.6k | 3.8 SOL |
| 100% | $41.3k | – |
At pump.fun’s SOL price right now ($100). Coins bond at about 411 SOL of market cap.
Bigger $EDGE, further reach
The pot decides how far back on the curve we can finish a coin. More $EDGE volume means more fees, a bigger pot, and coins finished from further away.
- 4 SOL → $38k
- 12 SOL → $33k
- 26 SOL → $25k
- 42 SOL → $17k
Where the fees go
Creator fees from every $EDGE trade go to the finish wallet. Every finish is one buy and one sell on chain, listed with its tx under Finishes on the board.
